Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo attracted the attention of Syrian children through social media.
“Strong, confident, never give up,” Ronaldo wrote on Twitter on Tuesday, drawing attention to violence against Syrian children.
He also shared a video of an attack on civilians in Ghouta, eastern Syria, in February 2018.
Eastern Ghouta, a suburb of Damascus, has been in a siege for the past five years. The humanitarian access in the area has been completely cut off, and there are approximately 400,000 people in the area.
